Artbreeder

Artbreeder is a unique and collaborative AI art tool that leverages Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) to allow users to "breed" and remix images, creating new artworks, characters, and concepts. Originally known as Ganbreeder, it functions by combining the "genes" or attributes of multiple source images to generate novel outputs.

Users can upload images or select from existing ones, then adjust various "genes" like age, gender, facial features, colors, and textures using sliders, manipulating the latent space of the GAN. This “gene splicing” enables endless variations, popular among character designers, illustrators, and artists exploring generative art.
